Head Coach of the USRowing Junior Women’s National Team

USRowing is presently accepting resumes from those interested in the position of Head Coach of the USRowing Junior Women’s National Team for 2010-2011. 

The successful candidate will possess:

•The knowledge, skills and experience to coach the USRowing Junior Women’s National Team Program. 

•Strong leadership and organizational skills to develop and enhance a world-class Junior Women’s National program, which emphasizes sustained competitive excellence at the 2011 Junior World Championships.

•Coaching experience with elite junior women athletes. 

•Demonstrated experience/success with coaching teams at a USRowing and/or NCAA national championship level.  Experience coaching national level programs at international regattas is highly desirable.

•Supervisory skills to manage staff (coaching staff and support personnel) that supports the Junior National Team program. 

•The ability to develop and execute a performance plan that will elevate the performance levels of all selected sweep and sculling boats.

•Working knowledge of USRowing Junior Women’s National Team programs including Identification Camps, High Performance Camps, Development Camps and Selection Camp.

•The ability to work with national and local media and consistently represent USRowing in a positive and professional manner. 

•Experience in the use of computerized systems, video analysis and physiological testing mechanisms. 

Program Location: The USRowing Junior Women’s National Team Selection Camp will be hosted at the US Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT (or an alternate site approved by the USRowing Junior HP Committee) from June 15-July 1, 2011 and in Princeton, NJ from July 4-July 26, 2011  to train/compete in Eton, Great Britain from July 27-August 6, 2011.
