Princeton, Western Washington and Ithaca Top Women’s Rowing Collegiate Coaches’ Polls

INDIANAPOLIS – For the fourth week in a row, Princeton University claimed the top spot in the USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll. Western Washington University and Ithaca College topped the Division II and Division III polls, respectively.

In Division I, Princeton earned 16 of 22 first-place votes to remain atop the poll. The University of California at Berkeley moved into the second position after taking five first-place votes, while the University of Michigan earned one first-place vote and fell to third. Harvard University and The Ohio State University rounded out the top five.

Western Washington University was a unanimous choice for the top spot in the Division II poll, earning all four first-place votes. Nova Southeastern ranked second, while Mercyhurst College moved back into the top three.

In the Division III poll, Ithaca College took over the No. 1 spot in the poll, earning eight of 10 first-place votes. Trinity College earned one first-place vote, falling to No. 2, while Smith College also garnered one first-place vote and ranked third. The University of Puget Sound and Williams College rounded out the top five.

Harvard University Moves to No. 1 in Men’s Collegiate Coaches Poll

INDIANAPOLIS – Harvard University moved up to No. 1 in this week’s USRowing Men’s Varsity Eight Collegiate Coaches Poll, the organization announced Wednesday.

Harvard garnered eight of 16 first-place votes to earn the top position. The University of California at Berkeley edged the University of Washington for the No. 2 ranking. Each school earned four first-place votes. Princeton University and Stanford University rounded out the top five.
