Princeton, Western Washington and Trinity Top Women’s Collegiate Coaches’ Polls
INDIANAPOLIS – For the seventh consecutive week, Princeton University claimed the top spot in the USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll. Western Washington University and Ithaca College topped the Division II and Division III polls, respectively.
In Division I, Princeton earned 14 of 23 first-place votes to remain atop the poll, while the University of California at Berkeley received nine first-place votes to keep the second position. Michigan State University, The Ohio State University and Harvard University rounded out the top five.
Western Washington University was the unanimous choice for the top spot in the Division II poll, earning all five first-place votes. Nova Southeastern ranked second, while Barry University moved into the third position.
In the Division III poll, Trinity College earned all eight first-place votes to take over the No. 1 ranking. Ithaca College fell to No. 2. Smith College, University of Puget Sound and Williams College rounded out the top five.

Harvard University Tops Men’s Eight Poll; Princeton University Unanimous Choice in Women’s Lightweight Poll
INDIANAPOLIS – Harvard University kept the No. 1 ranking in this week’s USRowing Men’s Varsity Eight Collegiate Coaches Poll, while Princeton University remained on top of the USRowing Women’s Lightweight Eight Collegiate Coaches Poll.
Harvard garnered 11 of 13 first-place votes to remain No. 1 in the men’s rankings. The University of California at Berkeley ranked second, earning the remaining two first-place votes. Princeton University, the University of Washington, and Stanford University rounded out the top five.
Princeton University earned all 10 first-place votes to remain on top of the lightweight women’s poll. The University of Wisconsin ranked second, followed by Radcliffe, Stanford University, and Georgetown University.
