Adding quarter slide to the progression can start to work both recovery and drive phase impulses. You want to make sure that on the recovery the athlete allows the pivot to develop before breaking on to the slide. On the drive phase, you would like the athlete to develop a feel for the legs to start the initiation before tying the body swing then arms into the impulse.
