2025-26 USRowing Election Information

Voting in the 2026 USRowing Regional Election will get underway January 2, 2026.

Ballots for the member-elected Atlantic Regional Board Position will be distributed on January 2, 2026. Completed ballots must be submitted for receipt no later than February 1, 2026.

Ballots for the Northeast and Northwest Referee Regional Coordinator Positions will be distributed to referees in those respective regions on January 2, 2026. Ballots must be received no later than February 1, 2026.

Voting credentials for the member-elected positions will be sent to the email address on record in the USRowing Membership Database as of the Date of Record (December 18, 2025).

USRowing has partnered with Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) to administer the 2026 election. To assure your election specific broadcast email arrives safely in your inbox on January 2, 2026, simply add the following email address as an approved sender noreply@directvote.net.

Voting credentials for the member-elected positions will be sent to the email address on record in the USRowing Membership Database as of the Date of Record (December 18, 2025). Please make sure that your email address in the USRowing Membership Database is correct prior to December 18. For voting purposes, your email address cannot be changed after the Date of Record.

Ballots for the member-elected Atlantic Regional Board Position will be distributed after the Date of Record (December 18, 2025) and before January 2, 2026. Completed ballots must be submitted for receipt no later than February 1, 2026. The term shall commence on the first Monday of March 2026. In order to vote, members must be in good standing by December 1, 2025.

Ballots for the Northeast and Northwest Referee Regional Coordinator Positions will be distributed to referees in those respective regions after the Date of Record (December 18, 2025) and before January 2, 2026. Ballots must be received no later than February 1, 2026. The term shall commence on the first Monday of March 2026. In order to vote, members must be in good standing by December 1, 2025.

USRowing invites nominations from members to join our team and submit their candidacy for the Board of Directors and Committees, including the Referee Regional Coordinator positions.

Nominations for the following positions are due Friday, November 21, 2025, unless noted.

Board Positions:

Elected by the Organizational Members in their respective regions: the Atlantic Region on the Board of Directors. This position is for a four-year term of office.
One At-Large Director to the Board of Directors is up for election by those Directors defined in Sections 26(A)-(C) of the Bylaws for a four (4)-year term of office. Nominations for the At-Large Director position are due January 15, 2026.

Committees:

One (1) At-Large Referee Committee member is up for selection by the USRowing Chief Executive Officer. This position is for a three-year term of office.
Referee Regional Coordinators: Elected by referees in their given region, the Northeast and Northwest Referee Regional Coordinator positions are up for election. These positions are for a three-year term of office. Regions for the Referee Regional Coordinator positions are defined on page five (5) of this document.
Two (2) Athlete Representatives to the High Performance Committee are up for election by the Athlete Council. These positions are for a four-year term of office.
Two (2) Athlete Representatives to the Para High Performance Committee are up for election by the Athlete Council. These positions are for a four-year term of office.

Nominations

Interested parties should declare their intent by submitting the nomination form and disclosure form with all required materials no later than the date indicated above to USRowing and acknowledge acceptance of the responsibilities and duties of the position that they seek by signature on the nomination form.

All prospective candidates must have been individual members of USRowing as of July 1, 2025, and complete the requirements of the USRowing SafeSport policy, which includes a criminal background check and SafeSport Training, prior to running for office.
