Why should you join USRowing? As a member of USRowing, you are more than just a number. You are part of the rowing community! Community is defined as a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests and goals.
As a group, we are stronger and can support each other while striving toward the common goal "to champion participation and the passionate pursuit of excellence in rowing." Your membership supports all those who row, from novices of any age to Olympic gold medalists.
Basic membership (Admin Fee – $9.75)
Become a Basic Member and enjoy the benefits of General Liability Insurance coverage and eligibility to compete in USRowing registered regattas. Athletes who are members of or represent an Organizational Member of USRowing should complete this process prior to participating in their first club activity or their first USRowing registered regatta (including indoor events).
Basic PLUS Regatta Package (26 & under – $25.25 | 27 & over – $40.25) or Coaches Package (16 & over – $25.25)
Get more from your Basic membership by adding on a Regatta Package or a Coaches Package. Our most popular membership provides free access to ExpertVoice.com/USRowing, General Liability and Excess Medical coverage and the eligibility to compete in USRowing hosted regattas.
Championship membership (26 & under – $45.00 | 27 & over – $65.00)
Championship membership provides the standard benefits of the Basic PLUS membership as well as a membership card and annual subscription to ROWING Magazine.
Legacy membership - Olympic Athletes and Coaches
Athletes and recognized coaches who have represented the United States at the Summer Olympic Games now receive a complimentary, lifetime Legacy Membership. The Legacy Membership provides national competition eligibility, product discounts, additional insurance coverage, exclusive educational resources, a monthly issue of ROWING Magazine, and voting privileges that help shape the future of USRowing. International membership (All ages – $75.00)
Individuals who live and row outside the United States and want the benefits associated with Championship membership can join USRowing as International members. Please note: athletes rowing for a U.S. organization do not need an International Membership. Further, at USRowing-hosted events, international athletes need only the free basic membership, as long as they belong to their country's governing body of rowing.
Outreach membership (18 & under – $9.75)
USRowing offers the Basic + Regatta Package membership at a reduced rate to high school aged athletes who demonstrate economic need. To be eligible, athletes must meet one of the following criteria:
- Enrolled in the federal food stamp program
- Entered in a national school free lunch program
- Meet federal poverty guidelines
