Mattis Hevin

Finished second in the eight at the 2023 USRowing Youth National ChampionshipsWon the four at the 2023 USRowing Southwest Youth Championships.

Mattis remembers watching boats row every morning on the Oakland Estuary and wanted to give it a try. He has always been athletic and has been swimming and skiing for 10 years. Outside of rowing, he likes to bake, hike, and travel to France with his family. Mattis said his coach, Ben Davison, is his personal hero. Davison has taught Mattis to hold himself to a high standard, and Mattis admires his determination and success in the sport.
