Finished 12th in the quadruple sculls at the 2024 U19 World Rowing Championships.

National Results

Finished sixth in the eight at the 2024 NEIRA Championships. Won bronze in the single at the 2024 Independence Day Regatta. Won silver in the men's youth four with coxswain at the 2023 Head of the Charles. Finished fourth in the single at the 2024 Northeast Regional Championships. Finished fourth in the eight at the 2023 NEIRA Championships. Won silver in the men's single at the 2022 and 2023 Hoffman Challenge. Won silver in the junior varsity eight at the 2022 NEIRA Championships. Finished sixth in the U17 single sculls at the 2022 Youth Summer Nationals Regatta.

Personal

Reed is an honor roll student and is the all time record holder at his school and club for the 2000 meter erg. He is a former varsity starter in football and wrestling. Reed received Most Improved Rower at his club in 2022. He enjoys cooking, playing guitar, singing, reading, writing, lifting weights, and biking. Reed is either training, studying, playing music or watching boat races on YouTube. Reed initially tried rowing to help with conditioning for football and fell in love with it. His hero is Damir Martin. He showed the world that someone with Reed’s build can dominate the world of sculling. Reed would like to work in finance and in the geopolitical consulting world. His favorite place to travel is to see his grandparents in Madison, Connecticut. His favorite Olympic moment to watch was the Rio 2016 Men’s Single Sculls Final. Reed is a huge cinephile and he’d recommend watching Snatch, American Psycho, Drive, No Country for Old Men, The Prestige, and Swingers.  He loves to listen to Deftones, Ray LaMontagne, Elliot Smith, The Smiths, Frank Ocean, RadioHead, Jeff Buckley, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, and Mac DeMarco. He has two awesome younger brothers, Tucker and William. He would like to thank all his amazing coaches and teachers, and his Mom, Dad and brothers.
