USRowing Celebrates National Youth Sports Week

Today marks the beginning of a week-long celebration of the importance of youth sports in physical fitness, mental well-being, and personal growth. Join us on social media today through Saturday, October 7, as we share stories, resources, and more that highlight the power of sport and uplift those who make it possible.

Tuesday, October 3: Training Day

An estimated 6.5 million sports coaches provide instruction to youth. Less than 5% have received relevant training. Explore the opportunities USRowing offers to help make every coaching experience a positive one.

Wednesday, October 4: (More than a) Jersey Day

What makes your boathouse, yours? Share a photo in your team uni, tag @USRowing, and let us know why you're proud to represent your club.

Thursday, October 5: Safety Day

Physical and psychological safety of athletes must always be our top priority. Browse and leverage resources provided by the USRowing Safety Committee and U.S. Center for SafeSport.

Friday, October 6: National Coaches Day

Coaches are instrumental in providing guidance, support, and mentorship. Celebrate the coaches who have impacted you using #NationalCoachesDay.

Saturday, October 7: Play Day

Enough talk; let's do this! Join us on Play Day and make lasting memories with your loved ones. Whether a casual row, a playful adventure, or simply enjoying the outdoors, let's celebrate the power of play and the positive impact it has on our youth.
