Personal
Thomas enjoys language learning (German, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese), linguistics, and hiking. He has a graduate degree in applied linguistics from Oxford University. His favorite regatta is the Green Mountain Head Regatta in Vermont. Thomas found rowing the spring of his sophomore year of college when a friend in his German class asked out of the blue for him to join the team to be the eighth man in the novice crew. Thomas showed up that same day and has never looked back. He has always looked up to his college coach, Noel Wanner, whose passion for and endearment towards rowing was a strong influence in developing a deep connection with the sport.
