Hannah was named 2022 Big 10 First-Team All-Conference and 2021 Big 10 Freshman of the Year for rowing. She also was named 2021 Freshman Female Athlete of the Year at Rutgers University. She enjoys traveling by train in Europe. Hannah was introduced to rowing through her sister. In the beginning, Hannahs sister was more skilled than her, and Hannah managed to flip her single more than once, while her sister seemed very comfortable. Hannah said she quickly grasped the idea of rowing being both an individual and team sport and she loved that. She named Dutch rower, Ymke Clevering, as her personal hero. Clevering fell off her bike and broke her left collarbone and right elbow. Hannah remembers seeing some clips from a documentary of her bike erging on the training trip with the Dutch National Team, while everyone else was doing the regular training, and how difficult that was. It was inspiring to see that Clevering managed to get her spot in the womens four that got silver at the Olympics.
