Personal

Kathleen was nominated for the Betsy Schumacker Woman Athlete of the Year at MIT in 2022 and was voted as MIT lightweight women's rowing's Most Inspirational in 2022. She was a 2022 CRCA Scholar Athlete and a 2019 National Merit Scholarship recipient. Kathleen enjoys running, hiking, playing the piano, and long walks with friends. She is the youngest of six children. Her father rowed throughout college, and she watched her older siblings join the high school crew team. She wanted to be just like them, so she tried the sport, too, and it stuck. She lists her parents, Mary Cormier and Greg Love, as her persona heroes for always exemplifying work ethic, kindness, and poise in all aspects of life. She also admires Gevvie Stone for showing what it means to achieve at the highest level athletically even while pursuing a career in medicine.
