Every individual who is on an active roster of a USRowing organizational member and/or participates at a USRowing hosted or sanctioned regattas must comply with the requirements below. Failure to maintain membership and complete all steps below will exclude you from all USRowing activities. If your member organization participates in the USRowing Plus insurance program but your individual membership lapses, you do not have liability coverage.
Plans
Our primary membership options for athletes and coaches are Basic and Championship. Renewing members on these plans receive a discount for maintaining active membership. We also offer special options, including plans for collegiate athletes and youth athletes with demonstrated financial restrictions, as well as a Lifetime membership option.
NEW: Learn-To-Row Membership In 2025, we will offer 60 days of insurance coverage for brand-new rowers at organizations insured through USRowing’s program to participate in practice, camps, and clinics. These members can also participate in indoor regattas and easily upgrade to one of our standard membership tiers to compete at outdoor regattas.
Every individual member must electronically sign the USRowing Agreement & Waiver. To do so, log into your member account, select “Sign Agreement & Waiver” from the landing page, check the box to agree to terms and conditions, and submit.
Note that signed paper copies are not accepted.
Self-Attest
Every individual member who is 18 years old or older must self-attest whether they are a Relevant Adult Participant as defined in the USRowing Safe Sport Policy. To self-attest, log into your USRowing member portal account and complete the 3-question pop-up questionnaire. After completing, the profile page will update and indicate whether you need to take SafeSport training.
It is your responsibility to re-attest if you believe your Relevant Adult Participant status may have changed.
Complete SafeSport Training
All USRowing Relevant Adult Participants are required to take the 90-minute SafeSport Trained course. After that, you must complete a 30-minute Refresher course annually. If you’re not a Relevant Adult Participant based on your self-attestation, you’re not required to complete SafeSport training.
USRowing strongly encourages all USRowing individual members who aren’t Relevant Adult Participants to complete relevant SafeSport training courses available through the member portal, including the SafeSport Parent’s Guide, SafeSport for Youth Athletes, and Safe Sport Training for Adult Athletes courses.
