2025 USRowing Youth National Championships - Sarasota, Fla

June 12-15, 2025

The 2025 Youth National Championships marks the 30th anniversary of the event. It has become one of the most significant youth sporting events in the United States and was awarded the SportsTravel Best Amateur Sports Event in 2023. Over four days, the event attracts over 4,000 athletes and1,000 coaches, and draws more than 5,000 spectators.

Nathan Benderson Park has hosted multiple USRowing events, including the Olympic Trials and the 2017 World Rowing Championships. In May, athletes will qualify at one of the 2025 USRowing Youth National Championships Qualifying Regattas and end their high school spring seasons with the USRowing Youth National Championships.

The 2025 USRowing domestic regatta entry packets were posted for a comment period to all members from December 1 to December 31, 2024. The final entry packet for the 2025 USRowing Youth National Championships has now been published.

Week at a Glance

Tuesday, June 10

Trailer Parking: 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

All trailers must be registered prior to arriving on site at Nathan Benderson Park. Please fill out this form if you are planning on transporting a trailer. Please only submit one registration per trailer.

Each team will be assigned a specific spot on the trailer field upon arrival. Please note that spots are given on a first-come come first-served basis. All trailers must check in with a staff member prior to parking.

If you are arriving outside of these hours, please park off-site and come back during open trailer hours. If you park on-site outside of the stated hours, your trailer will be moved by an outside party.

*If you are arriving prior to Sunday, June 8, please email Competition@usrowing.org for special accommodations.

 

USRowing Registration Opens: 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

USRowing Membership: All U.S.-based organizations must hold active organizational membership in good standing with USRowing. Organizations can join or renew at membership.usrowing.org

 

Scheduled Practice: 8:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

Practice will follow the Thursday Time Trial event order. Starting at 8:00 a.m., each event will launch in 15-minute intervals. Crews may not line up to launch before their scheduled time and should limit their water time to 90 minutes. [Click here for practice launch times] Please review the traffic patterns posted.

Weather Delays: In the event of weather disruptions, practice launches will be delayed, and updated schedules will be communicated.

Open Practice: 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. 

An Open Practice session will be available for crews unable to launch during their scheduled time due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., flight cancellations). Open practice requests can be submitted here.

Wednesday, June 11

Graduation Ceremony: CLICK HERE to list your graduating seniors!

USRowing is excited to host the 2025 Graduation Ceremony, presented by Lessons In Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus, on Wednesday, June 11 at 6:30 p.m. (ET) at Nathan Benderson Park for all graduating senior athletes!

As part of the ceremony, seniors from each team will be recognized for their accomplishments and receive a USRowing diploma. All athletes’ names must be submitted by Sunday, June 8, at 5:00 p.m. (ET) to ensure all senior athletes receive a diploma.

Join us to honor the graduates and get in some early shopping in the vendor area or grab a bite on our food truck row.

Coach Happy Hour: USRowing is inviting all coaches to the Coach's Happy Hour. The gathering will be held on Thursday, June 12, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Finish Line Tower. Snacks and (adult) beverages will be provided, and attendance is free. Join us and your coaching friends from around the country after a long day for a refresher!

Toast in the Tower: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Toast in the Tower is a celebration honoring Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) in rowing at the 2025 USRowing Youth National Championships in Sarasota, Florida. This special gathering creates a space where BIPOC athletes, coaches, referees, and families can unite, celebrate, and enjoy great food, drinks, and meaningful community connections. Please join us on Friday, June 13, at 7 p.m. (ET) in the VIP area (2nd floor of the finish tower) to hear from guest speakers, mingle with others, and enjoy refreshments. Get tickets here!

Spectator Tickets

We are thrilled to announce the opening of ticket sales for the 2025 USRowing Youth National Championships, winner of the 2023 Best Amateur Sporting Event from the Sports Travel Awards and the largest and most exciting Youth National Championships to date!  

This year, we are offering two distinct ticket options, each designed to provide exceptional value and enhance your experience. Don't miss this opportunity to witness the nation's top young rowing talent compete at the highest level.  

Tickets will go on sale Friday, May 30, at 12:00 p.m. ET. Given the high demand and the excitement surrounding this year's event, tickets are expected to sell fast. Be sure to mark your calendars and secure your tickets as soon as they become available to ensure you don't miss out on this spectacular championship experience.  

 

General Admission 4-Day Pass: $89 (+7.75% processing fee)  

(children 5 and under are free)  

With our General Admission 4-Day Pass spectators will be able to enjoy four action-packed days of championship racing. In addition, there will be:  

  • New! Watch the full 2,000-meter racing experience on our newly added jumbotron in the middle of the General Admission viewing area, bringing the spectator jumbotron count to two within the venue.  
  • New! Relax and recharge in our comfortable spectator shade tent, which has increased in size and in a new location, so you can relax under the tent while watching the first 1,000-meters on the jumbotron and the last 1,000-meters with prime viewing under the shade.  
  • New! Together with Nathan Benderson Park, we have increased the number of photo spots across the venue. Take the perfect picture to commemorate your trip and tag us! #YouthNats25 
  • Grab a prime spot in the grandstands for an unbeatable view of the final 1,000 meters of the racing—all from the scenic beach lining the venue.

VIP 4-Day Pass: $399 (+7.75% processing fee)

Experience 2025 Youth Nationals with our VIP package—offering exclusive spectator viewing and hospitality. We are offering 650 VIP tickets for premium event access over all four days of this championship regatta. This year’s VIP experience offers:

Friday, June 13th from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Finish Line Tower

Toast in the Tower is a free celebration honoring Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) in rowing. This special gathering creates a space where BIPOC athletes, coaches, referees, and families can unite, celebrate, and enjoy great food and drinks. Attendees will hear from leaders in the BIPOC rowing community and build meaningful connections.

Volunteer Policy

Volunteers are a critical component of all regattas. Our sport’s sustainability and success rely heavily on these dedicated supporters, who help ensure that our rowers, teams, coaches, spectators, and more have a safe, fair, and rewarding experience. The purpose of this policy is to provide additional volunteer support at USRowing-owned regattas to Local Organizing Committees (LOCs).

Petitions

Please follow the petition rules located in the entry packet. Once submitted, the 2025 USRowing Youth Nationals Coaches Council will review your petition.

Reminder: USRowing will accept petitions; acceptance of a petition does not guarantee a bid to attend the 2025 USRowing Youth National Championships.

Open Practice Sign-Up

From 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. ET, on June 10 and June 11, an Open Practice session will be available for crews unable to launch during their scheduled time due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., flight cancellations). Open Practice requests can be submitted at the link below.

The 2025 USRowing Youth National Championships livestream will be broadcasted on Overnght. Please note that all time-trial racing will not be part of the livestream. 

Parking

Team Parking

All teams will be given one (1) parking pass upon checking in at the registration tent at the 2025 USRowing Youth National Championships. This parking pass allows one team vehicle to park on the island throughout the competition. 

Each team will be required to register one (1) vehicle with USRowing and this is the only vehicle that will receive a parking pass. If any other vehicles park on site without a parking pass, they may be towed.

Spectator Parking

Spectator parking will be available for $15 per day, per vehicle. A shuttle will be available to bring spectators to the venue.
