USRowing to Host Annual Convention & Indoor Championships Together in Atlantic City

USRowing is pleased to announce that the 2023 USRowing Annual Convention will be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center (Atlantic City, N.J.) from February 3-5, 2023. In addition, USRowing and the Atlantic City Indoor Rowing Association (ACIRA) will co-host the 2023 USRowing Atlantic City Indoor National Championships concurrently with the convention at the same venue. This is the first time USRowing has combined these events and the first time either event will be held in-person since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are thrilled to gather with the entire rowing community for a weekend of learning, development, and competition! The 2023 indoor championships will offer both traditional race formats and new competition opportunities that welcome the growing number of indoor rowing participants across the country. In addition to 2,000-meter and marathon/half-marathon racing, the event will include shorter distance/duration dashes, max wattage tests, WOD-style competitions, and erg relays. When not racing, competitors will be able to explore the ACIRA Expo to connect with rowing and health and wellness companies. William L. Gormley, retired New Jersey state senator, has been instrumental in the development and strategy behind this newly-combined event, working closely with USRowing, as well as Atlantic City community leaders and sponsors. "I would like to thank Governor Murphy and Senator Polistina for their enthusiastic support of the indoor rowing championships in Atlantic City. Our lead sponsor, AC DEVCO and Chris Paladino, have been invaluable in their leadership and support." In addition, USRowing and Senator Gormley would like to thank the following for their support: Atlantic Shores, Lee Levine and Finn Wentworth Harvey and Lynne Kesselman The Atlantic City Convention Center Doc Holland and Stan Bergman Jon Hanson The 2023 USRowing Annual Convention will offer attendees educational sessions across three tracks: Athlete Development, Club Management, and Hands-on Learning. This year, the Hands-on Learning sessions will be workshop-based seminars targeting all areas of the rowing community. "After two years of virtual events, we're thrilled to gather our community for a memorable weekend at a fantastic location," said Brett Gorman, USRowing Director of Learning & Development. "Whether learning something new to take back to their clubs or testing one's mettle by competing at Indoors, we're excited to deliver a compelling experience for everyone!" USRowing staff will be hosting a free webinar on Thursday, November 10, at 8:00 p.m. ET to answer questions and provide more information on both events. Please join us and register HERE.
