2022 Youth Series – Week 4 Preview


The road to the 2022 USRowing Youth National Championships enters the stretch drive this week as the final qualification regatta will take place on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.

The 2022 New England Interscholastic Rowing Association (NEIRA) Championships, which features racing in fours and eights, will be held on Saturday, May 28. Due to Covid-19, the event was last held in 2019, where 216 crews from 50 clubs competed across 14 events.

Last week, more than 6,000 athletes raced at four qualification regattas. Click the links for results from the USRowing Northwest Youth Championships, USRowing Northeast Youth Championships, Midwest Junior Rowing Championship, and Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing Association City Championships. In total, 11 qualification regattas are now in the books.

The 2022 USRowing Youth National Championships will be held in partnership with Visit Sarasota County and the Nathan Benderson Park Conservancy from June 9-12 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota-Bradenton, Fla. Athletes must qualify for the event through one of 12 qualification regattas.

The nation's premier rowing venue, Nathan Benderson Park has hosted numerous national and international rowing events including the 2019 USRowing Youth National Championships and 2021 USRowing Youth National Regatta.
