2023 Pan American Games Coverage Page

The 2023 Pan American Games were held from October 20-November 5 in Santiago, Chile, with the rowing events being held at Laguna Grande in San Pedro de la Paz.

Team USA came home with 10 medals from the 2023 Pan American Games, the best performance since 1999. The U.S. and Chile tied for total medals, with the U.S. topping the overall medal standings thanks to its five gold medals. The U.S. won gold in the women's double sculls, mixed eight, men's pair, women's pair, and women's quadruple sculls; silver in the lightweight women's double sculls, women's four, women's eight, and men's single sculls; and bronze in the men's double sculls.

Laguna Grande in San Pedro de la Paz is a natural lagoon that offers great conditions for sprint canoeing and rowing, disciplines that enjoy a great tradition in the district that is part of the Gran Concepción.

The Pan American and Parapan American Games is the largest multisport event in the Americas, where the best athletes from all over the continent compete. It is held every four years, and Chile will be the host country for the first time in its history in 2023.

USRowing would like to thank Filippi Lido, the Official Boat Supplier for the U.S. Senior, Under 23, and Para Rowing National Teams. Under the agreement, Filippi is providing USRowing a fleet of boats for international competitions including the World Rowing Cup regattas, World Rowing Under 23 Championships, World Rowing Championships, Olympic Games, and Paralympic Games, as well as a domestic training fleet for the USRowing Training Centers.
