Announcing the 2026 Long Beach Elite and Community Invitational, Hosted by USRowing

• Elite crews from the United States, Australia, Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand, and Norway will compete on the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic course.
• The regatta will feature 1,500-meter sprint racing for High Performance, Collegiate, Youth, and Masters athletes.

USRowing is excited to host the 2026 Long Beach Elite and Community Invitational, scheduled for October 9-10 in Long Beach, California.

Racing will take place at Marine Stadium and will include international events in the men’s and women’s single sculls and pairs, as well as mixed quadruple sculls and mixed eights. The community racing program will feature Collegiate, Youth, and Masters competition across both sculling and sweep events. 

The event will bring together international and local crews from across the rowing community for a fast-paced, competitive racing experience.

“The Long Beach Elite and Community Invitational creates a unique opportunity to bring international High Performance racing and the broader rowing community together in one place,” said Sarah McAuliffe, Chief Program Officer at USRowing. “We are excited to showcase rowing in Long Beach and build momentum for the sport in the lead-up to 2028, while also welcoming athletes from across the sport and world to experience a fast-paced, 1,500-meter racing format on the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic course.”
