Shop for Change Partner of the Month: Corin Wiggins

This holiday season, USRowing is supporting minority and women-owned businesses that align with our desire to open boathouse doors. Whether exploring life's most fascinating phenomena through art or fostering a community for those historically underrepresented in rowing, we admire their drive and ambition.

These businesses are run by rowers and athletes who have turned a dream into reality. Their work ethic reflects the shared values of our rowing community: determination, grit, and teamwork.

Ten percent (10%) of proceeds from select items will go directly towards supporting USRowing initiatives to make rowing more diverse and inclusive.

Meet Corin Wiggins, The Black Coxswain

Corin Wiggins' (aka The Black Coxswain) journey into the competitive world of coxing began in Atlanta, Ga. As someone who defies the conventional image of a rowing athlete, she embarked on a transformative journey with a relentless purpose: to amplify the narratives of athletes of color by engaging in outreach activities at regattas and events.

Ultimately, Corin aims to establish a haven where individuals of color can freely exchange their experiences, insights, and encouragement, fostering a supportive and inclusive community. "My ultimate aspiration is to initiate the crucial change the rowing community dearly needs, cultivating an atmosphere of acceptance and unparalleled visibility for those who require it most," Wiggins said.
