Under 23, Under 19 National Team Trials Begin Tuesday
USRowing will be hosting the 2022 Under 23 and Under 19 National Team Trials this week at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla. The event will select athletes for the World Rowing Under 23 Championships and World Rowing Under 19 Championships that will be held this July in Varese, Italy.
In total, more than 125 athletes will be racing Tuesday and Wednesday for the chance to represent the U.S. later this summer in 22 boat classes. Click here for a complete list of entries.
Racing gets underway at 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning with time trials in the under 19 men's and women's single sculls, double sculls and pairs. Time trials in the under 23 women's single sculls, women's double sculls, and men's pair are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Time trials in the U23 lightweight men's single sculls and lightweight men's double sculls will start at 9:30 a.m.
On Tuesday afternoon, finals in the six under 19 events will take place beginning at 3 p.m.
On Wednesday, semifinals in the under 23 women's single sculls will start at 8 a.m., with finals in all 16 of the U23 events taking place starting at 3 p.m.

The 2022 World Rowing Under 23 World Championships and 2022 World Rowing Under 19 Championships will take place July 25-31 on Lake Varese in Varese, Italy. The remainder of the boats will be chosen through selection camps and named in early July.
