USRowing is pleased to announce Science of Rowing, The Conference for Rowing Coaches, and Women’s Coaching Conferences as United We Row Conference Partners for 2024. Through these important partnerships, USRowing is providing $8,000 in scholarships to 25 coaches across the country in financial need and aims to reduce a significant barrier to participation in continuing education and professional development. An additional benefit for scholarship awardees is that their verified attendance can be applied as 10 mentor hours in 2024.

About: The two-day virtual conference on applied physiology and biomechanics in rowing features expert insights and practical coaching strategies. Day one focuses on topics like power profile testing, lactate threshold training, and high-intensity rowing. Day two emphasizes biomechanics, with sessions on integrating HIIT, enhancing on-water performance, and coaching with biomechanics in mind. Highlights include Alex Gregory's talk on rowing essentials and Robin Williams' advice on applying sports science in daily coaching. The event concluded with a discussion on sport science and innovation, providing a well-rounded exploration of rowing performance optimization.

About: The Conference for Rowing Coaches is a three-day, in-person conference held in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. that is designed to provide the highest level of shared learning while attracting rowing coaches across all levels of experience; veterans of the launch and those new to coaching, as well as many of the top manufacturers of rowing shells and equipment in North America. Our presenters include a wide array of coaches from juniors and community programs, to all levels of the collegiate and university programs, and to the elite national team coaches from both the United States and Canada. Our keynote will be given by Josy Verdonkschot, USRowing's Chief High Performance Officer.

About: The Women’s Coaching Conference serves all female and non-binary rowing coaches, providing attendees with actionable education and community building to maximize their current positions and advance to the next step in their careers. This winter will feature two editions of the conference – one in Boston (Thursday, December 12 – Saturday, December 14) and another in Seattle (Thursday, February 6 - Saturday February 8). Both events will feature top-tier, professional presenters, including athletic directors, leadership coaches, and leaders within the rowing community. Speakers will include U.S. Rowing Olympian Michelle Sechser, Chief Visioning Officer of Steps and Stages Coaching, Facilitation, and Consulting Christal Brown, and Jessica Reo, Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator at Temple University.
