USRowing Coach Highlight: Patrick Kington

Patrick Kington has been coaching Blake Haxton in the Men's PR1 Single since 2014 and has been Head Coach of San Diego Rowing Club since 2018, where he works directly with the masters team and the Varsity Women's squad. His favorite part of coaching is building meaningful relationships with the athletes as they work towards their goals. The highlight of his coaching career so far has been coaching Blake Haxton to a 4th place finish at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio, after which Blake was voted 2016 USRowing Male Athlete of the Year.
