Samuel enjoys playing with his dog, reading, playing cards, and watching movies. He is a triplet. Samuel has been a captain of the Saugatuck Rowing Club's junior men's team for two years. His grandmother is a masters rower and signed him up for Saugatuck Rowing Club's beginner program when he was in sixth grade. He was a member of the U18 High Performance Team in 2018-2019.
