Alberto won Los Gatos Rowing Club's Evan DeSantis Award for being hard working and always bringing a positive attitude to the boathouse. He enjoys playing the drums in his rock band, running, soccer and biking. His parents are from Spain and Italy, and he speaks both languages fluently. He began rowing through his friends after deciding to join because of COVID. He lists the senior class of 2022 (particularly his friend, Arshia) as influential because they taught him how to be hardworking and achieve goals but also showed him that the importance of all the work he puts in is to spend time with the people he loves and do the things he enjoys.
