Personal

Oliver enjoys hiking, surfing, and golf. He began rowing in the fall of 2012 at Saugatuck Rowing Club when he joined the novice program. He lists Miroslav Klose as one of his personal heroes. Oliver said his favorite place to compete is the Head of the Charles and his favorite place to travel as Hanover, New Hampshire. Oliver lists the Miracle on Ice as his favorite Olympic moment. Both of his parents rowed at Boston University.
