Ella invented Medi Teddy (@medi_teddy on Instagram) and has two United States patents pending, a trademark, and a copyright in 28 countries. She is a small business owner and has a 501(c)3 nonprofit. She was a Time/Nickelodeon Kid of the Year 2021 top 20 finalist. Ella has received the 2021 Teen Impact Award in Leadership, Student Ideas for a Better America Award, Finalist National Gallery of Americas Young Inventors in 2021, Bridgeport Dental Association Outstanding Citizen Award in 2022, the Ninth Grade World Language Award for Excellence in Spanish, and was second in the 2021 CT Reflection Contest in Literature. Ella was also a presenter at the University of Connecticut Athena Innovation Conference and at Peds 2040 Trends and Innovations Conference in Huntington Beach, Calif.
