Personal

Billy enjoys hiking, downhill skiing, and crosswords. His next door neighbor was his novice coach and captain of Harvard's 1975 "Rude and Smooth" crew. He got Billy's older brother, who rowed for Colgate and went to under 23 worlds in the pair in 2013, hooked on the sport, and Billy followed. Billy lists the 2004 men's eight race in Athens as his favorite Olympic moment.
