Ava Smith

One- U19, 2026

Finished sixth in the eight at the 2025 USRowing Youth National Championships. Finished eighth in the eight at the 2024 USRowing Youth National Championships. Won gold in the varsity eight at the 2024 Stotesbury Cup Regatta.

When not rowing, Ava loves to draw, read, and bake. It is said that she makes the best banana chocolate chip muffins. Her favorite post-workout snack is a popsicle. She loves the musician Lord Huron. After rowing, she would like to pursue a career in engineering. She comes from a family of rowers. Her father, Don Smith, was a two-time Olympian; her brother, Luke Smith, was on the U19 national team in 2023 and rows at Stanford; and her sister, Addy Smith, rows at Texas. She is headed to the University of California, Berkeley in the fall.
