2025 Head of the Charles Events

Today, USRowing revealed the slate of awards, events, and experiences set for next month’s Head Of The Charles Regatta – the world's largest 3-day rowing competition, attracting 400,000 spectators and 11,000 competitors.

The USRowing hospitality tent at the 2025 Head of the Charles will be located near the Paddle Boston: Allston Brighton docks and the new HOCR Awards stage on the riverbank between Eliot Bridge and the finish line. The nearest address is the parking lot at 992 Soldiers Field Rd in Boston, MA.

Here's an overview of programming, and access to the USRowing hospitality tent is free, including free espresso drinks throughout the day, and open to all attendees, except for a few events that require registration:

Friday, October 17

  • 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. – Free espresso drinks available for all attendees.
  • 9:00-10:00 a.m.- National Team Athlete Autograph SessionMeet your favorite athletes and get their autographs. After a successful season of racing around the world culminating in Shanghai, China, members of the US National Team will be available to sign autographs, talk about their racing experience, and meet the rowing community.
  • 11:00 a.m.Survivor's Breakfast kicks off the USRowing experience, celebrating cancer survivors in the rowing community. Tent space is limited, and priority will be given to Survivor’s Rowing Network HOCR competitors. Please add your name to the waitlist here if you are interested in attending.

Saturday, October 18

  • 8:00 a.m. onwardsRegional Board Reps and Board of Directors Meet-upConnect with your local board representatives. Come prepared with questions about rowing in your geography, how to get involved with a club, or just to get to know the USRowing Board of Directors.
  • 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. – Free espresso drinks available.
  • 9:00-10:00 a.m.- National Team Athlete Autograph Session
  • 9:30 a.m."United We Row" Breakfast EventPlease join speakers Ajhanai (AJ) Keaton, Ciara O’Sullivan, Katy Ruderman, Kevin Harris, and Tamara Clayton on the shores of the Charles for breakfast, community, and thoughtful conversation on how to be "ALL IN." Through the different perspectives shared by the event’s panel, we will also explore ways to promote a welcoming and inclusive sport community—especially as interest increases leading up to the LA Games.   • 11:30 a.m.Paralympic Head Coach Ellen Minzner: Path to Para – Learn about the Para national team and opportunities for athletes interested in para-rowing.
  • 1:00 p.m.In Conversation: Arshay Cooper & Kati Fernandez – Arshay Cooper, bestselling author and rower, discusses his journey and his new book Let Me Be Real with You, with Kati Fernandez, Chief Content Officer at TOGETHXR. Registration is available here.
  • 2:30 p.m. - Networking Event Sponsored by The Baldwin Group – Connect with current U.S. National Team athletes, alumni, and professionals from various industries, exploring future career opportunities. From 2:30-4 p.m., join David DeRuff, OLY, USRowing Board member Taylor Ritzel, OLY, and Board member Sharon Wienbar for a panel on the intersection of rowing and professional success. From 3-4 p.m., join the Emerging Leaders Council and Currents for a networking reception. All are welcome, with a special focus on young professionals. Registration is available here.

Sunday, October 19

  • 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.National Team Athlete Autograph Session
  • 10:00 a.m.2024 Board Awards PresentationCelebrate the achievements of our community and the legends of our sport. Each year, the USRowing Board of Directors recognizes eight individuals for their contributions to American rowing.
