2024-25 USRowing Election Information

Voting in the 2025 USRowing Regional Election will get underway January 2, 2025.

Ballots for the member-elected Northeast Regional Board Position will be distributed on January 2, 2025. Completed ballots must be submitted for receipt no later than February 1, 2025. 

Ballots for the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest Referee Regional Coordinator Positions will be distributed to referees in those respective regions on January 2, 2025. Ballots must be received no later than February 1, 2025. 

Voting credentials for the member-elected positions will be sent to the email address on record in the USRowing Membership Database as of the Date of Record (December 18, 2024).

Ballots for the member-elected Northeast Regional Board Position will be distributed to the Organizational Member's Primary Contact after the Date of Record (December 18, 2024) and before January 2, 2025. Completed ballots must be submitted for receipt no later than February 1, 2025. The term shall commence on the first Monday of March 2025. In order to vote, the organization must be in good standing by December 1, 2024.

Ballots for the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest Referee Regional Coordinator Positions will be distributed to referees in those respective regions after the Date of Record (December 18, 2024) and before January 2, 2025. Ballots must be received no later than February 1, 2025. The term shall commence on the first Monday of March 2025. In order to vote, members must be in good standing by December 1, 2024.

Voting credentials for the member-elected positions will be sent to the email address on record in the USRowing Membership Database as of the Date of Record (December 18, 2024). Please make sure that your email address in the USRowing Membership Database is correct prior to December 18. For voting purposes, your email address cannot be changed after the Date of Record.

 


USRowing invites nominations from members to join our team and submit their candidacy for the Board of Directors and Committees, including the Referee Regional Coordinator positions.

Nominations for the following positions are due Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Board Positions:

  1. Elected by the Organizational Members in their respective regions: the Northeast Region on the Board of Directors. This position is for a four-year term of office.
  2. One At-Large Director to the Board of Directors is up for election by those Directors defined in Sections 26(A)-(C) of the Bylaws for a four (4)-year term of office.

Committees:

  1. One (1) At-Large Referee Committee member is up for election by the USRowing Board of Directors in office at that time. This position is for a three-year term of office. 
  2. Referee Regional Coordinators: Elected by referees in their given region, the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest Referee Regional Coordinator Positions are up for election. These positions are for a three-year term of office. Regions for the Referee Regional Coordinator positions are defined on page five (5) of the 2024-25 USRowing Board and Committee Call for Nominations document.
  3. Up to four (4) At-Large Athlete Council members shall be elected by The Team USA Athlete Commission Representatives, the Board Athlete Representatives, the HPC Athlete Council Members, and the PHPC Athlete Council Members at their first Athlete Council meeting following the election of the Team USA Athlete Commission Representatives. Eligibility is defined on page six (6) of the 2024-25 USRowing Board and Committee Call for Nominations document.
  4. Two (2) At-Large High Performance Committee members are up for appointment by the Board of Directors, after nomination by the Nominating Committee in consultation with the CHPO. These positions are for a four-year term of office.
  5. Two (2) At-Large Para High Performance Committee members are up for appointment by the Board of Directors, after nomination by the Nominating Committee in consultation with the PHPD and the CEO. These positions are for a four-year term of office.

Nominations

Interested parties should declare their intent by submitting the nomination form and disclosure form (see Additional Resources and Forms below) with all required materials no later than the date indicated above to USRowing and acknowledge acceptance of the responsibilities and duties of the position that they seek by signature on the self-nomination form. 

All prospective candidates must have been individual members of USRowing as of July 1, 2024, and submit to the requirements of the USRowing SafeSport policy, which includes a criminal background check.
