Expanding Member Benefits: Access Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance Through USRowing
USRowing is pleased to offer a new Member Benefit Center for individual and organizational members, providing both with access to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage. Through a partnership with a third-party platform, individuals holding an active USRowing membership will be eligible to enroll in a range of insurance plans, while member clubs and organizations will have the option to enroll at the organizational level to offer benefits to their employees and staff.
This member benefit is designed to expand access to quality healthcare options for the rowing community and address a long-standing need among coaches, staff, and independent contractors who may lack employer-sponsored benefits.
USRowing’s role in this program is to facilitate access and connect members with plan options. All aspects of plan administration, including enrollment, benefits education, member inquiries, and customer service, will be managed by a third-party who already operates the same service for USA Gymnastics’ individual and organizational members.
Comprehensive Coverage Options
The proposed insurance offerings include a full suite of coverage options, including major medical, dental, and vision plans. All plans are structured as PPOs (Preferred Provider Organizations), ensuring broad access to providers for members nationwide. Coverage will be available through leading national carriers, including Anthem, Cigna, Delta Dental, and VSP. Members can choose plans tailored to their needs, including individual, spouse, or family coverage. In addition, member organizations will have the option to enroll in group plans to provide benefits for their employees.
Enrollment will be open year-round, allowing members to join at any time rather than being restricted to traditional open enrollment periods.
Eligibility and Access
To access the program, all individuals and organizations must have an active USRowing membership, verified by a member number. Group plans will be available to employers that meet the minimum participation requirements of five enrollments. If a member organization is unable to meet those requirements, individual members will still retain the option to enroll independently.
