Join USRowing for the Last Chance Virtual ID Camp – March 16, 2025!
USRowing is pleased to offer a Last Chance Virtual ID Camp on March 16, 2025, offering athletes another opportunity to participate in our identification process. This camp will take place on Zoom from 12:00 – 2:00 PM EST.
This year, we are introducing a virtual option in response to weather-related postponements of several in-person ID camps. The safety of our athletes and staff is our top priority, and we want to ensure that every athlete has the chance to showcase their potential and take the next step in their rowing journey.
ABOUT THE CAMP:
The mission of the USRowing 2025 U19 ID Camps is to identify and inspire future elite rowers while providing a clear pathway for success at both national and international levels.
This camp is designed for athletes of all experience levels—whether they’re looking to improve their rowing skills, prepare for collegiate competition, or pursue a spot on the U.S. National Team.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Pathways Presentation: Learn about USRowing summer opportunities and the border goals of the Pathways Program.
- Technical Presentation: We have added a technical model to the curriculum that provides a structured breakdown of key elements that optimize rowing stroke efficiency, focusing on balance, rhythm, power transfer, and boat speed management.
- Coxswain Presentation: A National Team Coxswain will lead a session tailored specifically for coxswains, offering expert insights, strategies, and race-day preparation tips.
- Testing Protocols: USRowing coaches will explain the testing protocols for the 1’ and 100M erg tests. Athletes will then have until 3/21/25 to submit their scores via an online form. These scores will assist USRowing with identifying athletes for summer camps and development opportunities.
COST: $20 per athlete
