USRowing Announces 2026 Northeast Youth Regional Championships Location

USRowing is pleased to announce that the 2026 Northeast Youth Regional Championships will be held at West Windsor, N.J., with the Princeton National Rowing Association as the outstanding local organizing committee. 

Racing will commence on Mercer Lake on May 16 and close out with finals racing on May 17. Registration opens on March 9, 2026, and the draft entry packet, open for comment from December 1 –31, 2025, can be found here. 

The 2026 Northeast Youth Regional Championships were originally planned to be hosted in Lowell, Mass., but other venues were sought after long-running bridge construction created uncertainty for the work to be completed in time for racing. The only two other viable, in-region venues with a 2,000-meter course were vetted but ultimately not selected. One course has a scheduling conflict, while the other local organizing committee raised their own concerns on being able to staff the event appropriately and deliver an on-par experience.
