Shop for Change: USRowing Supports Black-owned Businesses This Holiday Season

This holiday season, USRowing is supporting three Black-owned businesses that each align with our desire to "open the boathouse doors." Whether encouraging a love of the outdoors, a desire to express diversity and inclusion through their art, or building a successful brand based on a willingness to tackle adversity, we admire their drive and ambition. These businesses are run by rowers and athletes who have turned a dream into reality. Their work ethic reflects the shared values of our rowing community: determination, grit, and teamwork. These businesses are donating a portion of their proceeds to support our initiatives to make rowing more diverse and inclusive. Meet the Vendors Campfire_Coffee_Logo3 Campfire Coffee SHOP Campfire_CoffeeCampfire Coffee, America's only veteran, woman, and BIPOC owned, open flame "campfire" style coffee roaster was started in 2020 by husband and wife Quincy and Whitni Henry. Built on a love for the outdoors and coffee, the big idea has always been to get more people outside by bringing more people into their unique style of roasting. USRowing is grateful for the support and advocacy Campfire Coffee has shown for our community and Stem to Stern programs. MWCreative SHOP MWCreative_HOCR Martha Williams is the owner and creator of MWCreative. She rowed competitively in high school and continued rowing recreationally during her collegiate years. As Martha was often the only person of color at regattas, A Most Beautiful Thing -- a film that chronicles the first African American high school rowing team in this country -- inspired her to use her art to give representation to Black athletes in sport. "I hope my art brings joy to those who see it, especially to those who have traditionally been hidden." Rebel Rebel Noir SHOP RN X USROWINGGeorge Wilson is a business executive who first discovered his love for rowing in high school and continued his rowing career at Cornell University, where he met his now business partner, Kofi Ofori-Ansah.
