U.S. Crews to Race at World Cup in Lucerne, Switzerland
The United States will field twelve crews at the World Cup in Lucerne, Switzerland on June 27–29. The U.S. team previously competed at World Cup Varese, winning four medals (one gold, three silver) in the men's single sculls, women's four and eight, and the PR3 mixed four with coxswain.
Jacob Plihal moves to sweep for this competition, competing in the men's quadruple sculls and eight. He won his first World Cup medal in Varese in the men's single sculls. Grace Joyce, from the Olympic women's quadruple sculls, will be racing in the women's double sculls while Olympians Teal Cohen and Kate Knifton compete in the pair. Team USA has two entries in the women's four with Olympians Azja Czajkowski, Jess Thoennes, and Charlotte Buck competing. The women's fours will compete in the eight with Olympian Nina Castagna returning to cox. Maggie Fellows will compete in the women's single sculls after winning the 2025 Winter Speed Order.
Olympic bronze medalist Christian Tabash competes in the men's four with Olympic alternate Gus Rodriguez and former U23 national teamers Jacob Hudgins and Josh Diggons.
