United We Row 2026 Design Contest


The 2026 United We Row Design Contest invites members of the rowing community to create an original digital artwork to be featured across a variety of merchandise in the USRowing Marketplace.

The winning artwork will represent the United We Row program alongside its existing logo. We encourage bold creativity and are looking for a design that sparks storytelling and captures meaningful moments within the rowing community.

This year, artists are encouraged to reflect not only on unity in rowing, but also on how the changing seasons shape the rowing experience—on and off the water.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for original designs that illustrate United We Row and what the changing seasons stir up. Consider rowing’s unique ability to unite individuals regardless of identity, background, and experience, fostering a sense of shared purpose and camaraderie.  

Your design should capture that connection and sense of belonging.


The Winning Design

The selected design will debut on official USRowing merchandise beginning at the 2026 RowFest National Championships. 

The winner will receive:

  • A $250 USRowing Marketplace gift card
  • A featured merchandise item showcasing their design
  • 4-year Championship USRowing membership

Additionally, 10% of proceeds from merchandise sales will support United We Row initiatives that help grow and diversify rowing programs nationwide.


Do’s & Don’ts

Do 

  • Submit designs that are flexible enough for inclusion on a range of items, including but not limited to t-shirts, tote bags, hoodies, stickers, and posters. 
  • Be creative in your outline shape. We will print and die-cut the design to its specifications. 
  • USRowing’s brand colors are available here. Feel free to incorporate additional colors as you see fit. 
  • Submit your design files in .PNG, .PDF, .JPEG, or .JPG format. We recommend Canva as a free and user-friendly solution.   
  • Include “United We Row” in your designs if you want, but it’s not required. 

Don’t 

  • Submit designs specific to a region/city/rowing organization. They should have broad appeal to the entire rowing community. 
  • Include any explicit or adult references, lewd language, or obscene imagery. 
  • Submit designs or images that aren’t original or are subject to copyright. Suspected artificial intelligence (AI) generated images will be disqualified.   
  • Create a logo. We’ve already got that covered! This is an original piece of art that is your interpretation of how rowing can unite a community.
