USRowing Announces 2025 World Rowing Under 19 Championships Roster

USRowing is pleased to announce the roster of the 2025 Under 19 National Team that will represent the U.S. in Trakai, Lithuania on August 6-10.

The U.S. will have crews competing in seven events, including the men's and women's four, quadruple sculls, and eight, as well as the men’s single sculls. The U.S. will not be sending boats in events that did not meet the competitive standard time.

At the 2024 World Rowing Under 19 Championships in St. Catharines, Canada, the United States showcased its young talent with a strong performance, earning four medals: one gold, one silver, and two bronze.

Twelve athletes from last year’s squad return to the U19 national team in 2025, including the entire women’s four stroked by two-time national champion and U19 World Champion Claire Van Praagh. She is joined by Lia Nathan and Lauren Dubois, who won gold at the 2024 World Championships in the eight, and Teagan Farley, who finished ninth in the women’s quadruple sculls.

George Kapp and Donovan Moses return to the U19 team in the men’s quadruple sculls. They raced together in the U19 men’s double sculls last year, finishing 14th. Tony Madigan makes his first U19 team, winning the 2025 Youth National Championship and confidently winning the U19 Time Trials in the men’s single sculls. He is coached by his father, Matt Madigan, a former national team member and two-time Olympic coach.

The U19 roster includes athletes from 15 states. New York leads the way with eight athletes.
