USRowing Announces Dates and Locations of 2022 Masters Regional Championships

The USRowing Northwest Masters Regional Championships and USRowing Southeast Masters Regional Championships will return to the schedule this year after a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19, the organization announced on Wednesday.

The Northwest Masters Regional Championships will take place June 17-19 on Vancouver Lake in Vancouver, Wash. Last held in 2019, the regatta saw more than 1,100 entries from 59 clubs compete for medals in more than 140 events.

The Southeast Masters Regional Championships will be held June 25-26 on Langley Pond in Aiken, S.C. In 2019, the regatta saw 310 entries across 26 clubs race for titles in more than 50 events. As usual, the Augusta Rowing Club will be hosting its annual Low Country Boil Dinner on Saturday night.

"We're excited to get back on the water with our two masters regional championships this summer," said Sarah McAuliffe, USRowing Director of Event Planning & Services. "Out Northwest masters are looking forward to great competition at Vancouver Lake, and our Southeast masters will get the opportunity to head back to Langley Pond Park to race at the newly renovated venue in Aiken, S.C. We look forward to seeing everyone at these two fantastic venues."

While the regional venues are now set, an update on the 2022 USRowing Masters National Championships will be available later this month.

Entry packets and registration information for all USRowing Masters Series events will be available later in March, with registration also scheduled to launch later this month. USRowing will alert members and member organizations in their region via its media platforms and RegattaCentral once the entry packets have been posted.
