USRowing Announces Four Selection Camps, One Development Camp for 2023 Under 23 National Team

USRowing is pleased to announce the four selection camps that will select boats to compete at the 2023 World Rowing Under 23 Championships July 19-23 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. In addition, USRowing will be hosting an Under 23 Women's Selection Development Camp this summer.

On the men's side, the U23 Men's Sculling Selection Camp will select the men's quadruple sculls crew for Bulgaria. Led by Conshohocken Rowing Center Executive Director Craig Hoffman, the camp will be held in Conshohocken, Pa. The U23 Men's Sweep Selection Camp will be run by Dartmouth College Men's Assistant Coach John Graves out of Hanover, N.H. The camp will select the men's eight and men's four with coxswain.

The U23 Women's Sculling Selection Camp will be held at the Oklahoma City High Performance Center under the direction of OKCHP Head Coach and High Performance Director Reilly Dampeer. The camp will select the women's quadruple sculls crew that will represent the U.S. in Plovdiv. Spearheaded by University of Oklahoma Women's Head Coach Sarah Trowbridge, the U23 Women's Sweep Selection Camp also will be held in Oklahoma City and select the women's eight and women's four with coxswain that will be heading to Bulgaria.

Selection camps will be held from June 15-July 7.

The remaining 16 U23 boats will be selected at the Under 23 World Championships Trials scheduled for June 12-14 in Sarasota, Fla.

Athletes not invited to the women's under 23 selection camps in Oklahoma City are encouraged to attend USRowing's Under 23 Women's Selection Development Camp in Ann Arbor, Mich. This camp will be run out of the Washtenaw Rowing Center under the direction of Grace Latz and Kit Bennett. The four-week camp will culminate with racing at the 2023 USRowing Summer National Championships in Bethel, Ohio. A second (optional) phase will allow athletes to train for the 2023 Canadian Henley in St. Catharines, Ontario, site of the 2024 World Rowing Championships.
