USRowing Announces Virtual ID Camp on March 8

USRowing will host a Virtual Identification (ID) Camp on March 8 from 12:00–3:30 p.m. ET, providing athletes with a focused opportunity to engage with the USRowing Athlete Pathway in a virtual environment.

Open to all athletes with access to an erg, the Virtual ID Camp is designed to identify and support rowers who are motivated to continue developing within the USRowing Pathway.

Athletes will complete erg testing in small groups alongside USRowing coaches, allowing for real-time observation, evaluation, and direct feedback. This structure ensures meaningful coach-athlete interaction and performance assessment.

Following testing, athletes will participate in athlete development education sessions led by former U19 National Team Coach Matt Grau. These sessions will focus on long-term athlete development, high-performance habits, and understanding opportunities within the USRowing Pathways.

Virtual ID Camp athletes will be eligible for early invitations to U19 summer Pathways camps, including Selection Development Camp and Pathways Development Camp. To allow sufficient time for evaluation, the Selection Development Camp application deadline has been extended to March 15.

USRowing remains committed to creating accessible, athlete-centered pathways into the National Team system. The Virtual ID Camp offers athletes a clear opportunity to be evaluated, gain insight, and take the next step in their development.

Sign up for the Virtual ID camp through the USRowing Member Portal. Applications for Selection Camp, Selection Development Camp, and Pathways Development Camp are currently open and must be submitted through the USRowing Member Portal. Athletes should ensure their membership information, performance data, and required documentation are up to date prior to applying. Erg scores can be updated throughout the winter, and it is recommended that athletes apply early and update their scores rather than waiting for a faster erg time.
