2026 USRowing Indoor National Championships Crown 182 National Champions
USRowing crowned 182 national champions this weekend at the 2026 USRowing Indoor National Championships on February 7, 2026. In partnership with Atlanta Erg Sprints, NW Ergomania!, Pittsburgh Indoor Sprints, South Side Smackdown / The Tiro Cup, and the Tennessee Indoor Rowing Championships, the national championships awarded 444 medals. Chattanooga won the most medals at 115, followed by Tacoma with 90, Pittsburgh with 86, Atlanta with 83 and Chicago with 70.
This year’s event featured more than 1,800 entries from 120 clubs nationwide. The championships included racing in over 100 events across the under 15, under 17, under 19, under 23, open, lightweight, Para, and masters divisions.
Beth Fingland set a new world record to win the Masters F category in 7:24.1, surpassing the previous mark of 7:29.7 held by American Nancy Cook.
Colette Kriegel of Augusta Rowing Club, Inc. captured the women’s U19 title in 7:19.8, narrowly ahead of Freya Little, who finished in 7:20.7. Angela Johnson from St. Andrew Rowing Club recorded the fastest junior women’s time of the day, winning the U17 event in 7:10.7.
Representing Lake Phalen Rowing, Andrew Vizecky claimed the U19 men’s title in 6:10.6, finishing more than 10 seconds ahead of runner-up Christopher Janz of Chicago Rowing Center.
In the women’s open division, Morgan Zahner took first place with a time of 6:52.6. Arion’s Oona Zilavy followed in 6:56.8, while Atlanta Rowing Club’s Ashley Johnson rounded out the top three in 7:02.9.
On the men’s side, Orlando Rowing Club’s Serhii Budko dominated the open event, clocking 5:59.4. Jacob Yeager of the University of Georgia rowing team placed second with a time of 6:12.4.
