USRowing Board Updates, Election Decisions Strengthen Leadership and Foundation Alignment

The USRowing Board of Directors and USRowing Referee Corps. are proud to announce several key updates to Membership elected and appointed positions that will allow for continuity across leadership teams.

Two sitting board members, Don Reynolds (At-Large Representative) and Steve Ciraolo (Atlantic Region Representative), return for their second term and will continue their service by providing invaluable experience and institutional knowledge as USRowing continues to build on its positive momentum and advances its strategic priorities of building a financially durable, member-focused organization.

To further align governance with philanthropic efforts, the Board approved the addition of the Chair and Vice Chair of the USRowing Foundation as ex officio members of the Board. Bill McNabb, Chair of the Foundation, and Andy McLane, Vice Chair, will now participate in Board discussions to help fortify coordination between USRowing’s operational and fundraising leadership.

“These strategic appointments, and election results mark an important step forward in the continued strengthening of our leadership and realizing the cross-over benefits of close alignment with the USRowing Foundation,” said Kirsten Feldman, Board Chair and Northeast Region Representative. “We are pleased to welcome back Don and Steve, whose continued service brings valuable experience and continuity. We have also deepened the partnership between the Governing Board and the Foundation by adding Bill McNabb and Andy McLane to the Board. Together, these actions position us to lead with greater alignment, clarity, and purpose in the year ahead.”

The Referee Corps welcomes the return of Letcher Ross as an At-Large Director representing referees, further strengthening the voice of officials within the organization’s governance. Ross brings extensive experience within the officiating community and will continue to ensure referee perspectives are represented as USRowing works to support and grow rowing across the United States. James Dwyer, Northeast Regional Referee Coordinator, and Kathleen Crowe, Northwest Regional Referee Coordinator, are also returning to the Corps, having been elected by USRowing earlier this year.

USRowing also announced updates to its Athlete Council. Elizabeth Margolin and Andrew Wigren will serve as the female and male representatives, respectively, to the Para High Performance Council (PHPC). Meghan Musnicki and Nick Mead have been appointed as the female and male athlete representatives to the High Performance Council (HPC).

These updates reflect USRowing’s ongoing efforts to enhance governance, expand strategic capacity, and ensure long-term sustainability in support of the sport’s continued growth and success.
