USRowing Strategic Plan

Thank you for taking the time to look at our newly released strategic plan for USRowing. This plan embodies our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our community and driving the sport of rowing forward. It represents our efforts to create a roadmap for our new mission: To steward, strengthen, and grow American rowing by championing performance and igniting new passion for the sport. In 2022, we embarked on three separate planning processes, each addressing a critical aspect of our mission. One focused on high performance, another on diversity and inclusion, and the third on holistic strategic planning for the entire organization. The culmination of these efforts is reflected in the USRowing Strategic Plan, which integrates the aligned priorities and initiatives from these three plans. This roadmap has been crafted based on extensive input and feedback gathered across the last year from our many stakeholders, and we're grateful to all of you who contributed to the process. We have identified three pillars of focus: Experience, Inclusion, and Performance. Looking ahead, we have set our sights on the most impactful opportunities across these three pillars: Experience: Our commitment to our valued members, ensuring that we provide exceptional benefits, experiences, and resources that enhance their journey in the world of rowing. Inclusion: We are dedicated to fostering the growth of our sport, creating an environment that is welcoming, fair, and accessible to all. Our goal is to cultivate a diverse and inclusive rowing community that celebrates the unique contributions of every individual. Performance: We strive to support our high-performance athletes in their pursuit of excellence on the world stage. By providing the necessary resources, coaching, and development pathways, we aim to empower our athletes to become the best in the world. As we embark on implementing these plans, our success depends on everyone's participation and invaluable insights. We are committed to fostering an even stronger partnership between USRowing and our community. Our pledge is to listen attentively, adapt to rowers' needs, and co-create the future of our organization and the sport we love. We are looking forward to the coming months and years when we begin to implement these plans and, together, bring USRowing to new heights, ensuring that positive experiences, welcoming boathouses, and fast boats become synonymous with our collective journey.
