USRowing Welcomes Jennie Trayes and Rich Cacioppo to Leadership Team

USRowing is pleased to welcome Jennie Trayes as its new Chief Community Engagement Officer and Rich Cacioppo as its new Chief Program Officer, the organization announced today.

In her role as Chief Community Engagement Officer, Trayes will oversee USRowing's domestic community programming including STEM to Stern, DEI, Adaptive and Veterans rowing. A graduate of Bucknell University and NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, Trayes joins USRowing after spending two years as the community and partnerships manager at LeagueApps. Prior to that, she worked in various leadership roles at Row New York from 2009-2019, most recently as the Deputy Executive Director. Trayes rowed collegiately at Bucknell.

In his role as Chief Program Officer, Cacioppo will oversee membership, regattas, camps, and coaching education, as well as safety. Cacioppo rowed at Columbia University, where he earned both his bachelor's degree and his MBA. Most recently, he served as the VP of Digital Service Delivery at Frontdoor, where he led a team of over 100 product managers, software engineers, program managers, and UX designers, transforming the home services industry through a digital-first approach to customer needs. Prior to his time at Frontdoor, Cacioppo spent several years at Amazon.

"We're excited to announce two new hires to run our domestic programs," said USRowing CEO Amanda Kraus. "Rich rowed at Columbia and brings a wealth of experience and success in customer experience to the table, and I had the pleasure of working with Jennie for a decade at Row New York and know, firsthand, how very lucky we are to have her on our team given her depth of experience in community rowing."
