Finished 11th in the pair at the 2024 World Rowing Cup II. Finished 10th in the four at the 2022 World Rowing Championships. Won silver in the eight at the 2021 World Rowing Under-23 Championships. Finished seventh the the quadruple sculls at the 2017 World Rowing Junior Championships.

Personal
Gus is the youngest of three. His brother was a swimmer at Princeton, and his sister was a rower at Tulane. Previously a swimmer, Gus started rowing when he injured his knee getting out of a pool. His father, Raoul, played football at Tulane and won a silver medal for Team USA in the four at the 1988 Olympics. Gus was named USRowing's Under 23 Male Athlete of the Year in 2021.
