Personal

Rhett enjoys hiking with his dog, triathlon, and climbing. He is in a Netflix movie, Super Dark Times. His sister, Desiree, was a multiple time national team rower. He lists Jackoneros MacOwako, a Kenyan rower who is a rower and a coach, as one of his personal heros. MacOwako and his students receive little to no funding, but he teaches the sport with humility and leads young kids to be respectful and to love the sport of rowing. Rhett was named Empacher-IRCA All-American First Team in 2023.
