Sean Ward

One-Under 23, 2021

Won the lightweight quadruple sculls at the 2021 USRowing Under 23 National Team Trials. Finished fourth in the heavyweight four with coxswain at the 2021 IRA National Championships. Finished third in the lightweight four at the 2019 IRA National Championships.

Sean was born on 3/15/1999. He won the Dartmouth Lightweight Rowing Joshua D. Bloom '90 Award for most improved in 2019, the Dartmouth Lightweight Rowing Big Green Oar for most valuable member of the team in 2021, and the Dartmouth Lightweight Rowing Louis C. Breer Memorial Bowl for best sportsmanship in 2021. Sean enjoys bodysurfing and reading. He started rowing at Malvern Prep in his freshman year of high school after being cut from the basketball team the winter of 2013. He lists his parents, Michael and Rebecca Ward, as his personal heroes, as Sean said all of his achievements would not have been possible without them.
