Personal

Outside of rowing, Ian enjoys doing absolutely nothing at all with the homies or trying to get eight-plus hours of sleep a night. He works for WHOOP, managing the company's research lab. He lists his parents as his personal heroes because they provided Ian with the life and opportunities that he has today, and he will be forever grateful for that. His favorite place to travel is the White Mountains of New Hampshire. He lists his favorite Olympic moment as either Michael Phelps winning by a finger nail length, or Usain Bolt just being a fast dude all the time. He was a second-team ACRA All-American in 2019. He played soccer most of his life, but after an injury and some unfortunate events, he had to find something new. His mom signed him up for a local rowing club, and he begrudgingly went to the first practice. From there, he was hooked.
