Personal
Ryan was named the 2021 Oarsman of the Year at Indianapolis Rowing Center. He was named Most Improved Rower at Indianapolis Rowing Center in 2022. He enjoys playing ping pong, going on bike rides with friends, swimming, hanging out with friends, and watching movies. His sister got him into rowing. She broke an American record and a World record on the erg. They have always had great sibling rivalry, so she forced him to quit basketball and try rowing. He also lives doing his sport on the water rather than the court. Being outdoors on the water rowing is a feeling that is hard to beat. He would like to be an accountant or a financial advisor. He may also want to coach rowing. His favorite movies are Tron, Marvel Movies, Top Gun Maverick, and Miracle on Ice. His favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird. His mom and dad were very successful athletes. His mom was all-state in track and field. She was the leading scorer on her high school basketball team. His dad was a great football player in high school and college. His dad also played basketball throughout school and served in the US Army. He has three dogs named Thor, Boomer, and Parker. He enjoys walking them regularly. He can dunk a basketball on a 10ft rim, and I have shattered a backboard like Shaq!
