2026 USRowing Beach Sprint Pathways Development Camp
USRowing is thrilled to host our first Beach Sprint Pathways Development Camp at Tabor Academy in Massachusetts in August 2026. Open to all audiences, the camp is designed to introduce athletes to the Beach Sprints pathway and provide opportunities for rowers of all ages to experience the discipline. Sculling experience is required.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Training will take place August 2–5, followed by competition at the 2026 USRowing Beach Sprint Trials, Speed Order, and National Championships from August 6–9. Athletes will stay at Tabor Academy for the entire week, with transportation provided to and from the beach each day for training and racing.
While prior sculling experience is required, athletes will receive instruction from some of the top Beach Sprint coaches in the country through a combination of classroom sessions and detailed on-water training. Athletes will learn the fundamentals of Beach Sprint racing, including boat entries and exits, race strategy, and technical skills, while training directly on the National Championships course in preparation for competition.
COST: $2,399 per athlete – this includes meals and housing for the athlete from August 2 - August 9, 2026, and includes one entry into the regatta. All boats and oars are provided for both the camp and the regatta.
